The Challenge: Our leadership team identified a gap in how frontline and mid-level managers understood and applied the concept of Innovation in their daily roles. This was critical to driving cultural transformation and aligning emerging leaders with our iCARE leadership competencies, which are foundational for succession planning and leadership readiness.

The Process: I applied instructional design principles throughout the project, collaborating with stakeholders to shape the message, scripting content to support clear learning objectives, designing visuals that reinforced key concepts, and producing an engaging final video. The process prioritized relevance, learner engagement, and measurable impact at every stage. I created detailed scripts, wireframes, and visual workflows, leveraging tools like Vyond, Camtasia, and Canva to ensure a cohesive and impactful learning experience.

The Solution: I partnered with HR Directors, Senior Managers, and Organizational Development to design a short, engaging video that defined Innovation through the lens of our business strategy.
The video combined animation and real-world scenarios to make the concept actionable and relatable, reinforcing leadership expectations while supporting the development of future officer-level talent pipelines.

Results and Impacts

Outcomes: The video achieved a 96% completion rate among senior leaders and above, with a 98% approval rating in post-session surveys. It was quickly leveraged as a model for future leadership development content across the organization. The project reinforced core leadership capabilities around innovation, which are critical for succession planning. It provided scalable, on-demand development content designed for VP and future officer-level talent. As part of our leadership strategy, this asset strengthened the leadership pipeline through intentional learning and integrated feedback loops to measure impact and leadership readiness.

2. Leadership Development Project: Action-Oriented Leadership in Practice

Overview

Project: Designed and implemented a multi-year, competency-based leadership development framework built around 17 core leadership competencies. This initiative featured a blended learning approach combining digital, in-person, and reflective elements to prepare leaders at all levels for evolving challenges. This spotlight focuses on the “Action-Oriented” competency, encouraging leaders to take initiative, drive progress, and deliver results.
Audience: Leaders at all levels of the organization, including frontline, mid-level, senior, and executive leadership.
My Role: Instructional Designer and Program Manager responsible for end-to-end strategy, content development, instructional design, stakeholder engagement, and learning experience delivery.
Tools Used: Storyline 360, Rise 360, Vyond, Camtasia, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams

Business Challenge | Process | Solution

The Challenge: The organization needed a scalable leadership development framework that clearly defined expectations and fostered growth aligned with real business needs. Action-oriented leadership was identified as a key gap, with many leaders hesitating to make decisions or take initiative without explicit direction.

The Process: I worked closely with HR partners and business leaders and led the design and development of a leadership competency framework supported by a modular learning path. I scripted and built interactive eLearning modules using instructional design methodologies, storyboarded visual sequences, created learner workflows, and integrated practical application tools. For the Action-Oriented competency, I created scenario-based activities, reflection prompts, and tools for immediate use on the job.

The Solution: The featured Action-Oriented module was built in Storyline 360 and included interactive decision-based scenarios, video insights from senior leaders, guided self-reflection, and a downloadable action planning worksheet. Designed for flexibility and immediate relevance, the module was accessible across devices and supported by leader toolkits, as well as conversation guides for post-session reinforcement.

Results and Impacts

Outcomes: The Action-Oriented module resulted in strong engagement and behavior change across all leadership levels. Over 90% of target audiences completed the module, with 93% reporting increased confidence in making decisions and taking initiative in their roles. The success of this module led to its use as a model for future competency-based learning and integration into broader leadership development programs.

3. Spark Commercialization: Vendor-Funded Learning at Scale

Overview

Project: Development and execution of Spark Commercialization, a vendor-funded internal learning marketplace I developed and executed to transform vendor marketing dollars into a scalable, sustainable training initiative. This branded, menu-based program enabled external vendors to invest directly in sales associate training, driving increased product knowledge, engagement, and revenue support.
Audience: All internal sales associates and external vendor partners.
My Role: Program creator and lead; managed design, implementation, vendor relationships, and reporting.
Tools Used: Storyline 360, Rise 360, Vyond, Camtasia, PowerPoint, LMS, Microsoft Excel, and internal project tracking tools.

Business Challenge | Process | Solution

The Challenge: Internal sellers lacked consistent product training and enablement. Vendor partners had marketing dollars available but no structured method for investing in meaningful internal training efforts.

The Process: To address this, I developed a branded program framework featuring a tiered menu of deliverables—including eLearning modules, product videos, communications, and reinforcement campaigns. I created structured intake workflows and pricing models, established project tracking systems, and worked closely with Sales and Vendor Marketing teams to ensure strategic alignment. The program was fully integrated into the LMS to ensure seamless access, content delivery, and data tracking.

The Solution: Spark Commercialization offered vendors a structured, tiered menu of learning assets they could fund. The program provided targeted, high-impact training options that were all branded and aligned with sales enablement goals. It created a repeatable, scalable model that quickly gained traction and value.

Results and Impacts

Outcomes: Spark Commercialization generated $35,000 in vendor-sponsored revenue during its first year and quickly scaled to over $275,000 annually by its second year. Due to overwhelming interest, the program became fully booked, requiring the implementation of a vendor waitlist. It significantly strengthened vendor relationships, improved internal product knowledge among sellers, and enhanced training engagement. The program successfully positioned Learning & Development as a strategic, revenue-driving partner within the commercial ecosystem while also providing full LMS integration for tracking, feedback, and performance insights.
